As a powerful support for building a solid grassroots prevention and control network, the "Snow Bright Project" uses county, township, and village three-level comprehensive governance centers as command platforms, comprehensive governance informationization as support, grid management as the basis, and the networked application of public safety video surveillance as the focus, extending security prevention measures to the people, mobilizing social forces and the masses to participate in security prevention, and thus truly achieving "full coverage and no dead ends" in security prevention and control.
Various regions have applied the "Snow Bright Project" to safeguarding national security, key industry safety supervision, and governance of prominent security issues, and have applied video information to grassroots party building, intelligent transportation, ecological protection, targeted poverty alleviation, and public services, achieving significant effects.
According to the summary of the preliminary work of the "Snow Bright Project" by the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission on June 21, 2018, 18 provincial-level information resource exchange and sharing platforms and 20 provincial-level comprehensive governance platforms have been built nationwide, and all provincial-level units and 353 prefecture-level units have achieved interconnection and interoperability of comprehensive governance and public security video resources.
In addition, various regions are currently promoting the interconnection and interoperability of household intelligent security systems with community service systems, comprehensive governance information platforms, and alarm platforms, achieving automated alarm and assistance, and accurate push of early warning information for natural disasters and emergencies, better protecting the lives and property of the people.

Based on the massive data provided by the Snow Bright Project, the data visualization analysis and judgment system can display the operation status and index data of social governance work, helping public security departments quickly identify problems in the work, make up for deficiencies, provide data-based decision support for prioritizing key areas, setting directions, and formulating specific plans, and also clearly and intuitively display the results of social governance work.
Taking Xuhui District, Shanghai, as an example, the comprehensive governance information platform uses the GIS map point method to display the progress of rectification using color-coded icons and uses a visual form to analyze and judge the trend of the security situation. In the duty hall of the district administrative service center, real-time monitoring data from the comprehensive governance information platform can be retrieved at any time on the large screen, not only making the progress of rectification of illegal street shops clear at a glance, but also keeping track of the real-time road conditions.
